About Nevaeh Hahn
Artist Biography~
Nevaeh Hahn is an emerging artist hailing from the distinct landscapes of Eastern Colorado and Southwest Kansas, whose practice is rooted in the synthesis of diametric opposites. Navigating a divided household in her youth, Hahn's early struggles with identity led her to focus on the necessary tension, and eventual harmony found within any divided structure. Her work explores how seemingly separate elements not only coexist, but actively connect and belong to one another.
A foundational element of Hahn's artistic identity is the reconciliation of contrasts, a theme she manifests through a deliberate interplay between Many medias: Watercolor, Clay, found objects, oil paint, and printmaking
The foundation of Hahn's artistic inclination stems from a family tradition of craftsmanship and artistic ability. She reconnected with art after a period of significant personal adversity. This journey from disconnection to active self-discovery fueled her commitment to education, where she graduated with honors and is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts in Fine Arts at Garden City Community College. Her work serves as an ongoing exploration of identity, resilience, and the possibility of finding wholeness within division.
